About 30 years ago I recall almost always being frustrated with the older technology of teleprompters. At a NAB convention I saw for the first time a computerized teleprompter system. Wow! I immediately knew that was a recent development that would make my job much easier. I bought that system on the spot, I only had to learn a new language for computers called DOS.

I learned the system and began to offer camera mounted teleprompter with great success. Soon after that I realized if one camera is good, four could be better, so I began also offering multi camera teleprompters for up to 4 cameras. I still offer that same service today.

About 13 years ago a very good friend of mine who managed a television studio asked me: “Hey Frank, any chance you can do Presidential Prompter as well?” I said, “let me look into it.” So, I rented the stands, glass, and floor monitors and all went well, but I began to get last  minute calls for political events. So I decided to make the investment to purchase my own equipment.  

Now, I have 2 set ups, and as the years have progressed I have about a dozen annual events I put on my calendar every year and the list continues to grow. As the years have progressed I have done many other configurations such as down stage monitors, projected prompter on the back wall, and multiple floor monitors for lyrics for singers.
